I wasted my money on using him to represent me in my divorce. He was always quick to give in to the other side to my detriment. No confidence in him. DO NOT USE. |

Any time you can have a lawyer guide you through the very challenging legal process and feel like you are making positive steps it is a good thing. Dereck has helped guide me through a very challenging and trying time during the access struggle I have had with my ex. Dereck has a very solid approach to tackling these very trying and emotional issues. He preaches and practices ethics from a laywers perspective and also from a clients perspective. I have nothing but positives to say about his court appearances. He is quick on his feet, always prepared and never ever gets flustered. Think of Dereck as a well dressed and better spoken Columbo. |

Dereck Jones has been my lawyer since 2005. He guided me through a very difficult divorce with knowledge and compassion. He was tough when he needed to be and always gave me an honest evaluation of where I stood. Each year he continues to assist with child support adjustments and I have been very happy with his efforts. |

Dereck has been he best lawyer I have had. He is pragmatic, will provide you with the best long term approach to any solution. Dereck and I have workign together for almost 4 years and although I may not always like what I hear, we have never lost an application for increase access. Dereck is able to present a very well thought out case, one in which provides the justices with the relevant facts. Dereck's expectation of me as his client is one of being above reproach. This just speaks to the fact that Dereck is all about doing things ethically and correctly. The same can not be said for some lawyers I have dealt with. |

Dereck and I may not have always agreed, but he listened to me and we always managed to find a solution (most often it was that Dereck explained his position and reasons - and was always right!). Divorce is a terrible thing, access agreements are a frustrating process and, dare I say, Dereck (almost) made it enjoyable. He knew what was best, knew what to focus on and was always more than knowledgeable (always more so than opposing counsel). I would highly recommend Dereck, he may be a bit more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for and he is worth every penny. |

Dereck Jones was very helpful in straightening out a very difficult time in my life with a result that made financial and structural sense. He does an excellent job of steering his clients away from things that may seem important but are not for things that appear to have little importance but will take on huge impact years down the road. |

Dereck made one of the most difficult periods of my life bearable and at times nearly enjoyable. I always felt he had my back even when he had to course correct me through the process. It's easy for a lawyer to agree with their client but that doesn't always equate to an optimal long term result. He helped set up a great after divorce life for me and my family. I was very lucky to find Dereck and highly reccomend him. My wife went through 3 lawyers and a lot of money until she found someone that could do a good job for her. |

Mr. Jones has been handling my access and custody file for quite some time. Sadly my ex-wife has no end of financial resources to continue to delay this matter. Mr. Jones is pragmatic, practical and methodical in his approach. His knowledge of the law is second to none. In the countless times I have been forced to appear to gain access, Mr. Jones has never lost. He is well prepared, retains countless details of my file and seems to be able to think on the fly, running circles around my ex-wife's lawyer (who is an abusive bull-dog, who practices in the margins of ethics). Although Mr. Jones never compromises his own ethics, he is able to deal with this despicable conduct effectively and eloquently. It is VERY clear he is highly regarded by the countless Justices we have appeared before. Where the other counsel seems to exasperate the judge, it is clear when Mr. Jones speaks, the court listens. He is my second lawyer and I cannot imagine through this without his guidance. |

He represented me in my divorce. I found him to be an absolutely and spineless lawyer. Very poor quality lawyer, poor communication skills and generally, made the process of divorce even more painful than it had to be. Useless lawyer. |

This lawyer represented me in my divorce and settlement. He held meetings with my ex and his lawyer without my presence, withheld critical financial information from me, misled me with regard to the law, and intentionally undermined my case. He seems to have issues with spousal support. |
