I don't know what happened to the other people, but I won my case after a 2 day divorce trial that included custody. He was the third lawyer that I used, and he did a good job. He is expensive, and he makes you pay your bill in order to get services. |

Don't waste your time or money. I spent over 5k in a custody case. He filed the paperwork late, never returned calls, and i was found in contempt of court for his inability to file correct paperwork. To only have to get another lawyer (that had to be paid again) to file the paperwork and fight for me and my child. Mr. Burton does nothing for you but expects payment. I have been asked several times by others and the lawyer I ended up using if I would recommend Mr. Burton. Not in a million years. Do it yourself!!!! |

I hired Mr. Burton in 2010 for a custody case with my grandson. My grandson mother did not even have a lawyer. Every time I would call him and tell him what was going on with my grandson he would always say "Find out this or that and call me back". He made a lot of promises and didn't deliver on any of them. I had never in my life been as disappointed with anyone before. I paid an arm and a leg for nothing. I would have done better handling my case myself as my grandson's mother did. |

Atty Burton is an "old school" lawyer that really fights for clients. Mr. Burton stepped in after I fired my previous attorney for not being aggressive. Mr. Burton immediately reviewed the case file and the tide began to shift in the case. When it was all said and done, I got custody of my two girls. Mr. Burton is a strait forward kind of guy and he doesn't sugar coat things. As such, I can see why he might rub some people the wrong way. However, if you want a good lawyer who can handle his business in the court, he is the one to get. |

This lawyer is the biggest waste of time and money. Attorney is ill prepared, non-responsive, misguides his clients, and over all, is unproductive. He and his website portrays himself as very confident and knowledgeable. Don't be fooled. Handle it yourself; you will come out better than if you hired him. (Unless you want to spend $10K and get nothing for it). |
