My father needed Alzheimer's care, and our family turned to Wingate after positive recommendations. In the end, my parents were charged a significant fee for essentially nothing! We had to hound the office just to have any communication at all. He did nothing to assist my parents with the Medicaid process, to find a facility, or to manage their assets. After 2 months of absulutely no assistance from this office, we did everything on our own. He did not recall 2 of the meetings we had with him where very important decisions were made, and instead of moving foreward, we had to keep retracing our steps to remind him of our case. When we had the "nerve" to ask what our family paid for, he became enraged and insulted my husband. He then made the ridiculous statement that my father might improve. My father is in the end stages of the disease, and as much as I wish that were true, it just isn't. But apparently, that was Wingate's plan. This man preys on the most vulnerable of our population. |
