I do not understand why you chose to remove my previous reviews; however, Edward L. Johnson is currently suspended by the U.S. District Court/Eastern District, Bankruptcy Court and the Michigan Bar. |

This lawyer did not even know that you cannot change judges on a case after they are assigned it. He promptly lost the venue change and then cited the reason as if he knew it all along and I was the crazy one for trying to change judges when it was his idea all along. I caught him lying to me about filing a case on a day when national holiday kept district courthouse closed. He complains the $1500 I paid him is not enough to work the case and he refuses to show me responses from opposing attorney although it is my right. He promised that my case was winnable but now as the hearing nears he is saying it is a difficult case and that I provided him with bad information even though responses to information from me was what he requested. He will promise to call you back and then acts like he never promised to do so. He will promise to send you information and then later act like he never promised to do so. He puts blame on client for inability to properly research and defend case. |

TERRIBLE. Doesn't return phone calls, doesn't know what he's doing, makes you think he's working for you, takes your money then does NOTHING. I hired him for a custody/child support case and ended up having to hire a different attorney to substitute him out. Even with the substitution he is dragging his feet. I would call, leave messages (multiple) and it would take FOREVER to get a call back - talking weeks. He would cancel/miss appointments we set up and flat out lied about being in court on MLK day - hello - the courts were closed! A huge heart ache on an extremely personal and important case. :( |
