I wanted to go up against an evil corporation by myself even though it was a long shot. I went to Mr Ball to accompany my friend and ended up obtaining his expertise. Was the best decision I ever made. Not only is he an expert, he explains everything in a way you can understand and keeps you updated about the progress. I am happy that I was not wrongfully deprived of $25,000 by said company. Mr Ball has helped a lot of people, and I will recommend his services to anyone. In fact, I already refered 6+ people who I know will be 6+ happy clients. |

I sought a lawyer as a last resort. I have a number of friends that are lawyers, but I wanted to find the best employment lawyer. Based on the abundance of good reviews and his impressive qualifications, I retained Stacey Ball. A settlement was quickly reached for double what I was originally asking for. |

After meeting a number of lawyers regarding my case, I came across Stacey. I found him to be a consummate professional with decades of experience and yet a person who has time to personally talk to you. He is an excellent negotiator and above all a lawyer who knows his stuff. After all he has written the book on this very specialty.
A compensation structure that is based on a fraction of what he will get you from your former employer. Usually this is related to your base salary and years of work at your former employer. My small amount of experience and relatively moderate salary meant not a very attractive proposition for any lawyer working on my case. But I was surprised with Stacey's professionalism and dedication from day one. He understands the troubles you are going through. Worked very hard on my case and I am quite happy with the outcome. |

I work in the field of HR and have used Stacey's services on a few occassions. He is a kind and compassionate individual who is exceptionally bright, noble and will always fight for the cause. Unlike a number of other employment lawyers, Stacey offered 3 major advantages: 1) he's the partner, not a junior associate - ie years of experience, 2) given he writes his own book on employment law, he really knows all of the relevant cases - ie he knows what he's talking about and 3) unlike most who bill by the hour, his fee is geared for results - but yet within reason. Given this plus he was very familiar with the other party that I was involved with & very successful against them in the past, I felt confident that he would yield positive results. In the end, he yielded superb monetary results but also addressed all of my other concerns. Staring down the opposing side, I felt a lot more confident with an experienced partner vs a junior associate. Which was made evident when he quickly crushed the other side's arguments. If I ever find myself in need of an employment lawyer, he will be the first I will call. |

There isn't enough space here to praise this man enough. My partner and I used him for her wrongful dismissal case and every positive review that I read is bang on. He was honest and upfront with his plan of attack and expectations and was right on when the settlement came. He was always direct and to the point, not wasting any time. His demand letter brought such a quick response from the former employer it made me laugh. I wouldn't want to face him in court either... We appreciate that our case is probably small potatoes compared to what he regularly deals with, but he took to our case with a passion that demonstrates he is not just about money, but about justice and a drive to achieve it. Mr. Ball is the best employment lawyer in the country, bar none. His professionalism regarding our account has been second to none. Furthermore, his fees are always more than fair. A few years ago we had a serious problem regarding an executive who had absconded with corporate Intellectual Property. The issue was a potentially fatal one for our firm. Mr. Ball saved the day. |

I found Mr Ball to be extremely professional, aggressive and tenacious. He helped increase my settlement dramatically and I can honestly say I would not have obtained the level of satisfaction I did without his assistance. The fact that Mr Ball speaks French and English was a factor in my selection and proved to be an asset. My experience with Stacey Ball was an excellent one from the start to finish. He was very professional and knowledgable. In my initial meeting he clearly explained my case and my rights and I left feeling confident and that he was in full control and knew exactly what he was doing. My company was planning on playing hard ball with me and had initially offered me a basic settlement to which Stacey was going to have no part of and had a litnay of legal clauses and reasons as to why we were not accepting it. His response was drafted very professionally but was riddled with law which essentially out lawyered my former company's law firm and awarded me with over 100% increase in the next offer. We then began our next round of negotiations. Stacey is a master negotiator and has your best interest at heart. He yells at his clients and charges a large amount of fees for a demand letter that has various typos that looks like it's written by a high school kid. Lost so much sleep because of this guy. |

Stacey Ball acted as my legal advocate on two separate occasions, each case dealing with a different issue, separated by a number of years. In each case, Mr. Ball proved an expert when it came to employment and labour law issues. Perhaps more important that that.... HE WON! Stacey Ball is the consummate legal professional. I've used Stacey many times in the past and can't say enough about this man. Extremely knowledgeable, fast, and to the point. Always take his recommendations and approach. Any time I've used him I get great results. From negotiating severance packages to helping craft employment contracts, he's always managed to make things right. I can honestly say that when it comes to employment law most HR departments and their lawyers shudder when they see his letterhead - why? well of course it's because the book they usually reference to build their case was written by him. Can't tell you the number of times you push on your own, get nowhere, have Stacey ship a letter, then watch the HR team and their lawyers cave as soon as they realize they're dealing with the man who wrote the definitive guide to employment law in Canada.
