I was wrongfully dismissed by my former employer. I spoke to an number of lawyers and they all highly recommended Stacey Ball. Hiring Stacy was the decision I made. He was extremely professional and had an excellent understanding of labour law. My company is based out of the U.S. He knew exactly how to deal with aggressive American lawyers. Came to review a severance package. First time; he arrived 25min late, not knowing who I am, despite prior conversations. Asked how much the company offered (for the 3rd time). Without reviewing the docs concluded that it was understated. Suggested sending a letter, which he dictated on the spot. Promised that it would go out that afternoon; it went out 1 wk later. The appointment lasted 35min during which he spoke mostly of his watch collection. Cost: $750. Later, without reading the company’s response letter he suggested suing. He eventually promised to read the letter and call the company to negotiate; he never did. His assistant scheduled a meeting for Stacey to update me; he didn’t show up. I never heard from him again. Communication from the empoiyer also went unanswered. His assistant Rebecca often lied that she had not received my messages yet knew what I said in them. As for “the name”, the HR department never heard of him, though he claimed that he dealt with them before. |

I highly recommend Stacey. I have consulted with him on employment contracts as well as resolving severance with my employer. He's very efficient and effective in securing a good settlement. For this reason I think he's one of the best in this practice. |

The reason I rate Mr Ball so highly is, simply, because he exceeded my high expectation. That is, pressed in late November to accomplish satisfactory resolution on an employment issue prior to yearend, Mr. Ball quickly gathered the facts, crisply and tenaciously presented my case, and then successfully accomplished closure ... all within 11 days of our first meeting. Just an outstanding accomplishment, and one for which I am very grateful. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in referring individuals with legal employment concerns to Stacey Ball's practice. |

Just stay away from this lawyer. I lost my time, money and nerves. They even forget my case, after six months i called them to find out what is going on with my case. He is charging by time, percentage + letter. My advice: do not even try to go with this lawyer. I do not want anybody to be in my situation, there are plenty of other good lawyers. Good luck! |

Stacey Ball is an awful man. He charged me $300 for 2 minutes of his time, only to tell me that I don't have a case. This was a first consultation. He reminds me of Shylock from The Merchant of Venice. I would not recommend him to anyone. He is only interested in clients who can bring him big revenue. He does not have a heart for the little guy. I found him to be very disrespectful - Was late for our appointmet, and condescending. |

After meeting a number of lawyers regarding my case, I came across Stacey. I found him to be a consummate professional with decades of experience and yet a person who has time to personally talk to you. He is an excellent negotiator and above all a lawyer who knows his stuff. After all he has written the book on this very specialty.
A compensation structure that is based on a fraction of what he will get you from your former employer. Usually this is related to your base salary and years of work at your former employer. My small amount of experience and relatively moderate salary meant not a very attractive proposition for any lawyer working on my case. But I was surprised with Stacey's professionalism and dedication from day one. He understands the troubles you are going through. Worked very hard on my case and I am quite happy with the outcome. |

Unlike a number of other employment lawyers, Stacey offered 3 major advantages: 1) he's the partner, not a junior associate - ie years of experience, 2) given he writes his own book on employment law, he really knows all of the relevant cases - ie he knows what he's talking about and 3) unlike most who bill by the hour, his fee is geared for results - but yet within reason. Given this plus he was very familiar with the other party that I was involved with & very successful against them in the past, I felt confident that he would yield positive results. In the end, he yielded superb monetary results but also addressed all of my other concerns. Staring down the opposing side, I felt a lot more confident with an experienced partner vs a junior associate. Which was made evident when he quickly crushed the other side's arguments. If I ever find myself in need of an employment lawyer, he will be the first I will call. |

There isn't enough space here to praise this man enough. My partner and I used him for her wrongful dismissal case and every positive review that I read is bang on. He was honest and upfront with his plan of attack and expectations and was right on when the settlement came. He was always direct and to the point, not wasting any time. His demand letter brought such a quick response from the former employer it made me laugh. I wouldn't want to face him in court either... My company was planning on playing hard ball with me and had initially offered me a basic settlement to which Stacey was going to have no part of and had a litnay of legal clauses and reasons as to why we were not accepting it. His response was drafted very professionally but was riddled with law which essentially out lawyered my former company's law firm and awarded me with over 100% increase in the next offer. Stacey tries to always answer his phone personally, he is quick with his response, effective and reasonable with rates. He truly "goes to batt" for his clients and above all cares about your matter. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a strong employment lawyer. |
