This attorney has little patience. She is FAR more worried about getting paid more than what the opposing attorney is getting rather than being ethical and going all out for your case. I do not recommend her.
I hired Tamela after my wife filed for divorce, I was struggling with not only divorce but the fact that I had a 6 year old son I did not want to loose in the process. I will tell you thanks to Tamela I have custody of my son and through the whole mess she was readily abailable as was her staff to attend to my every need. Due to the difficulty of my situation the process took almost two years, I was arrested for domestic violence and child endangerment, falsely I might add but she walked me through it and got the charges dismissed. Divorce is emotional, she helped take the emotion out of it, follw her advice even if its difficult because I'm here to tell you she's right! After a long day in court and several court dates later I am divorced, I have custody, and my son is doing well. Just because your wife wants out does not mean you have to loose your kids. I can honestly say Tamela is a great attorney and not only that I consider her a friend. I recommend Tamela to anyone needing help
While I do not doubt the knowledge of Attorney Adkins, her communication with clients is terrible. Her staff is abrasive and uncooperative. Divorce is difficult and it requires a little guidance. You hire an attorney to help guide you through the legal process. Attorney Adkins does not guide. She directs you to comply with unreasonable defense requests. When you try to make an appointment, it takes 1-2 weeks to talk to her. If you want an attorney who tells you nothing, this attorney will be fine. If you want to be left in the dark, she will be fine. But if you approach this process like you are hiring the lawyer and not vice versa, I would maybe look around.
