Anyone else experience a similar situation...... kind hearted boss and one that I respected .....until -
Skipped pay days, checks that would not clear the bank, and finally when you resign due to non payment and less than kind treatment - you are stiffed for your final check!
It is extremely unfortunate that something like this exists in a professional society. Where exorbitant amounts of money are paid to counsel for their work and the simple consideration to their employee is not given. I am a mother of 3 children and depend on my salary being in my account as committed to by an employer. In fairness, my eldest child did have open heart surgery while I was employed and my employer was very accommodating to my circumstance; however the issue should not be confused. PAYDAY IS PAYDAY! I was not hired on a contingency basis and my salary and livelihood should be honored with the same respect was given to my position.
Clients proceed with caution - if an attorney cannot pay their staff timely and future employees - accept cash or money orders to avoid the multiple embarrassing situations I encountered with Bank of America.
